Amish Shah

Amish Shah is an American politician and physician who served as a member of the Arizona House of Representatives for District 5 from 2023 to 2024.

A member of the Democratic Party, he first entered the legislature by defeating incumbent Representative Ken Clark in 2018.

[2] Shah was the Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress in Arizona's 1st congressional district in the 2024 election, losing to incumbent Republican David Schweikert.

He won the American Academy of Emergency Medicine's national resident research competition for developing a new method of critical care.

He later served as a full-time faculty member and academic researcher at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

[11] Shah announced his intention to run for U.S. Congress in Arizona's 1st congressional district in the 2024 elections on April 3, 2023.
