Amsterdamsche FC

The team compete in the Tweede Divisie, the third level of the Dutch football league system.

AFC was founded in 1895 when a group of young Amsterdammers decided to create a football club.

On 18 January 1895 the founding meeting took place in the basement of a house on the Koninginneweg where after a long discussion the name "Amsterdamsche Football Club (AFC)" was chosen.

Due to the shortage of fields and accommodation, unfortunately, hundreds of aspiring members must be disappointed every season when they apply for membership.

Note: Flags indicate national team as defined under FIFA eligibility rules; some limited exceptions apply.
