In May 2009, after being released from the Blumenau athletics team, she decided to take up a career in powerlifting professionally, dedicating herself exclusively to training in the modality.

To end the year, the athlete won the bronze medal in her first participation in world championships in the city of Plzeň in the Czech Republic.
