Andebu Church

It is the church for the Andebu parish which is part of the Sandefjord prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Tunsberg.

Originally, the church consisted of a nave and chancel with no tower.

Later, a small stone sacristy was built on the east end of the chancel and a small wooden church porch was built on the west end of the nave.

In 1686, the church was extensively restored after a number of years of decay.

Each church parish was a constituency that elected people called "electors" who later met together in each county to elect the representatives for the assembly that was to meet in Eidsvoll later that year.
