Anderson is a city in McDonald County, Missouri, United States.

[7] Interstate 49 passes just to the east of the city, with access from Exit 10 (MO 76).

Pineville, the McDonald county seat, is 6 miles (10 km) to the south.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Anderson has a total area of 2.27 square miles (5.88 km2), all land.

[2] Indian Creek, which forms part of the southern boundary of the city, flows generally southward to join the Elk River, which in turn flows west to the Neosho River in Oklahoma.
