Film critic Ramesh Bala, through his review for Indiaglitz gave 8 out of 10 to the soundtrack stating "Pradeep Kumar delivers the morose haunting soundtrack for Andhaghaaram and perfectly in sync with the movie's tone" and listed "Suzhalum Irulil" and "Izhupari Aattam" among their favourite picks.

Apart from praising the technical aspects of the film, he also appreciated director Vignarajan stating it as an "arrival of a very real talent".
