Andrássy Castle

The architect Artúr Meinig built the castle, which shows features of the neo-Gothic and Romantic styles.

The castle was then passed to his eldest son, Count Tivadar Andrássy de Csíkszentkirály et Krasznahorka (10 July 1857 – 13 May 1905).

Subsequently, the castle was used as a hospital for the Romanian army; many soldiers still lie at their final rest in the surrounding park.

The renovation was funded by both the Hungarian government and the European Union, and cost approximately EUR 7,1 million.

[3] The aim of the refurbishment was to enable Tiszadob and the Andrássy Castle to host a range of cultural attractions.
