André Bishop (born November 9, 1948)[1] is an American theatrical producer, and artistic director and producing artistic director, of Lincoln Center Theater.
[2] He has produced over 80 Broadway plays and musicals and has won numerous Tony Awards.
[4] He graduated from Harvard University in 1970 where he was a pupil of dramatist Robert Chapman.
[4][5] He was the artistic director of Playwrights Horizons from 1981 to 1991.
He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences[6] and an inductee in the American Theater Hall of Fame.
