André Maschinot

André Louis Maschinot (28 June 1903 – 10 March 1963)[1] was a French footballer.

[2] He scored two goals in the first ever World Cup match, against Mexico,[3] becoming the first player to score a brace in the FIFA World Cup.

He then stayed 8 years, from 1929 to 1937, at FC Sochaux-Montbéliard,[6] where he ended his career.

[7] He was in the France squad for the 1930 FIFA World Cup.

[8] He played the first game against Mexico and scored 2 goals, thus becoming the first player in the history of the FIFA World Cup to score a brace.
