Andrew L. Brasher

Brasher received a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Samford University in 2002, and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 2006, where he was a member of the Harvard Law Review and earned the Victor Brudney Prize.

He was nominated to the seat vacated by Judge Mark Fuller, who resigned under the threat of impeachment on August 1, 2015.

[5] On January 3, 2019, his nomination was returned to the President under Rule XXXI, Paragraph 6, of the United States Senate.

[11] On November 6, 2019, President Donald Trump announced his intent to nominate Brasher to serve as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Trump nominated Brasher to the seat to be vacated by Judge Edward Earl Carnes, who had announced his intention to assume senior status upon confirmation of a successor.

[15] On January 3, 2020, his nomination was returned to the President under Rule XXXI, Paragraph 6 of the United States Senate.
