Andrew S. Fulton

Andrew Steele Fulton (September 29, 1800 – November 22, 1884) was a nineteenth-century congressman, lawyer and judge from Virginia.

Andrew Steele Fulton[citation needed] was born on September 29, 1800, near Waynesboro, Virginia.

He read law in the office of Briscoe Baldwin in Staunton, Virginia, and was admitted to the bar in 1825.

[1][2] He moved to Wytheville in 1828 and became a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing Wythe County in 1840 and 1845.

Fulton became prosecuting attorney of Wythe County and was elected a Whig to the United States House of Representatives in 1846, serving from 1847 to 1849.
