Antoine Makoumbou

Antoine Makoumbou (born 18 July 1998) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Serie A club Cagliari.

[3] During the season, Maribor activated the option to buy and made the transfer permanent.

[4] On 15 July 2022, Makoumbou signed a four-year contract with Italian Serie B side Cagliari for a reported transfer fee of around €2 million.

[3] He debuted for the Congo national team in a friendly 1–0 win over Niger on 9 June 2021.

[7] In December 2023, Makoumbou announced his retirement from the national team due to the poor travel and living conditions the Congolese Football Federation forced their players into during the November 2023 international break.
