Anwar Hossain (Bengali: আনোয়ার হোসেন; 6 October 1948 – 1 December 2018)[1][2] was a Bangladeshi photographer and cinematographer.

[2] He completed his SSC from Armanitola Government High School and HSC from Notre Dame College, Dhaka in 1965 and 1967 respectively.

[6] He graduated in architecture from BUET and a diploma in cinematography from the Film and Television Institute of Pune, India.

[10] Hossain married to Bangladeshi film actress and writer Dolly Anwar in 1979.

[8] Hossain was found dead in the Olio Dream Haven hotel in Panthapath area in Dhaka on 1 December 2018.
