[4] The Walsh River palm grows up to 25 m (82 ft) metres tall, with a trunk up to 30 cm (12 in) in diameter with an expanded base.
The rigidly-held, erect leaves are up to 4 m (13 ft) long, and have a slight sideways twist.
The massive branched inflorescence is up to 1.5 m (5 ft) long, and bear white flowers.
