[2] Sherriff won the gold medal in the triples with Mark Casey, Brett Wilkie and Wayne Ruediger during the 2012 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Adelaide.

Four years earlier he had won a silver and bronze at the 2008 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Christchurch, New Zealand.

[3] In 2020, he was selected for the 2020 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Australia but the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2023, he won double gold in the singles and the mixed pairs with Kelsey Cottrell at the 2023 World Bowls Indoor Championships.

[9] Further success came as part of the Australian team for the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Queensland where he took two silver medals in the Triples and in the Fours.
