[1] Arthur was the son of Sir Charles Morrison-Bell, 1st Baronet and Louisa Maria Dawes.
[2] He was educated at Eton and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst, and was commissioned in the Scots Guards in 1890.
In 1914, he rejoined the army at the beginning of the First World War, was captured in 1915 and returned to England in 1918.
[1] Morrison-Bell held the seat without a break until 1931, when he retired due to ill-health.
Shelagh married Sir Ralph Abercromby Campbell, Chief Justice of the Bahamas, in 1968.
