Asan Medical Center

With 2,732 licensed beds and a total floor area of approximately 280,000 square meters (85,000 Pyeong), it is the largest hospital in South Korea.

[4] In 2011, the hospital introduced the Asan Global Standard (AGS), a comprehensive evaluation guideline implemented year-round, which was designed based on the fundamental assessment principles of the Joint Commission International(JCI).

[5] Newsweek ranked Asan Medical Center as the 29th best hospital in the world and the best in Korea for 5 consecutive years (2019-2023).

[6] In 2023, Newsweek ranked the hospital among the world's best in 11 clinical specialities: 3rd in endocrinology, 4th in urology, 6th in gastroenterology, 7th in cancer, 9th in neurology.

One example of this project's activities is the agreement signed in 2018 between AMC and Huế Central Hospital in Vietnam that supports training for medical professionals.

[20] The Asan Foundation's welfare initiatives began with the establishment of a hospital in a remote area of South Korea.
