Ashok Bajpai (born 26 July 1949) is a politician from Bharatiya Janata Party and member of the Upper House of Indian Parliament – Rajya Sabha.

[3] Bajpai was born into a farmer's family in a small village in Uttar Pradesh.

[citation needed] He completed his Bachelors in Science (BSc) from Lucknow University and then went on to do a Diploma in Public Administration.

After getting released from jail, he joined Janata Party and was appointed National Secretary of its Youth League in Uttar Pradesh.

He has been elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly multiple times.
