Ashton is a village and civil parish about ¾ mile east of Oundle in the east of the English county of Northamptonshire forming part of the unitary authority of North Northamptonshire.
[3] Ashton was re-built[4] in 1900 by the Rothschild family for estate workers, to designs by William Huckvale.
[8] The event was held in Ashton for 45 years before moving to a larger venue in Southwick, Northamptonshire in 2009.
[9] The Parish Church of St Michael dates from the 12th century and was rebuilt in the 1840s, including works on the tower.
Two more cottages were added in 1945 in the same style; Pevsner[4] refers to Ashton as a model village.
