Auenheim

Auenheim (French pronunciation: [auənaim]; Alsatian: Auenem) is a former commune in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region of north-eastern France.

The TER Strasbourg-Lauterbourg railway passes through the village and there is a station in the commune which, however, appears to be disused.

[3] The Moder river comes from the south and passes through the south-west then the centre of the commune before forming half of the eastern border and continuing east to join the Rhine at Neuhaeusel.

List of Successive Mayors[4] The inhabitants of the commune are known as Auenheimois or Auenheimoises in French.

[5] The commune has a number of buildings and sites that are registered as historical monuments: One structure is registered as an historical object: An isolated infantry Blockhouse, simple flank built in 1932.
