Austen Gittos

Austen John Gittos (13 November 1923 – 7 December 1986) was a New Zealand fencer who won a silver medal at the 1950 British Empire Games.

[3] He won the silver medal alongside Charles Dearing, Nathaniel Millar, and his brother Murray Gittos, as part of the men's foil team at the 1950 British Empire Games.

[4] At the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games he competed in the men's individual épée, foil, and sabre, placing seventh in the foil.

[4] Gittos died on 7 December 1986, and his ashes were buried at Purewa Cemetery, Auckland.
