Axel J. Beck

In March 1906, at the age of 11, Beck immigrated to the United States arriving in South Dakota in the middle of April 1906.

[3] He served in the Field Artillery at Camp Zachary Taylor, Kentucky, where it appears he was a junior officer of the 4th Company Convalescent Center.

He was in private practice in Elk Point, Union County, South Dakota, from 1924 to 1958.

He was confirmed by the United States Senate on February 28, 1958, and received his commission on March 4, 1958.

[3] His service was terminated on September 2, 1981, due to his death in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
