Azerbaijan–Netherlands relations

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on opening an embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands on 20 September 2005.

On 24 April 2007, Ambassador Fuad Iskenderov presented his credentials to the Queen of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard.

Azerbaijan and Netherlands cooperate in different directions in order to enhance the economic relations in the fields such as industry, producing, processing, and packing of agricultural production, ICT, tourism, health, ecology, as well as the Netherlands companies in industrial parks in Azerbaijan.

[4] Azerbaijan and Netherlands signed an agreement on Joint MBA (Master of Business Administration) program covering the field of energy management in 2013.

Every year Clingendael Institute of Netherlands holds training for Eastern Partnership countries’ diplomats.

Annual seminars on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are organized within the framework of the cooperation with the Hague Academy of International Law.
