Bátka (earlier: Batka; Hungarian: Bátka, c. 1895–1906: Alsóbátka and Felsőbátka) is a village and municipality in the Rimavská Sobota District of the Banská Bystrica Region of southern Slovakia.
In historical records, Dolná Bátka was first mentioned in 1294 (Bathka).
It belonged to the Kállay noble family in the 15th and 16th century.
Horná Bátka arose in 1294 (as a part of Dolná Batka) as a royal donation to the knight Tumpold Krispin.
