Békéscsaba (Hungarian: Békéscsabai járás) is a district in central-southern part of Békés County.

The district is located in the Southern Great Plain Statistical Region.

Besides the Hungarian majority, the main minorities are the Slovak (approx.

5,000 persons in Békéscsaba District did not declare their ethnic group at the 2011 census.
