Bình Giã is a commune (xã) and village in Châu Đức District, Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu province, in Vietnam.
The Battle of Bình Giã took place from December 28-29, 1964, and was one of the first large-scale engagements between the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) and the National Liberation Front (NLF) or Viet Cong.
The battle resulted in a victory for the NLF and dealt a blow to the morale of the ARVN and its American allies.
The temple is dedicated to General Nguyen Tri Phuong, a Vietnamese military leader who fought against the French colonial forces in the 19th century.
The Victory Monument commemorates the Battle of Bình Giã and features a statue of a soldier holding a rifle.
