Bătrâna

Bătrâna (Romanian pronunciation: [ˈbətrɨna]; Hungarian: Batrina, German: Altendorf) is a commune in Hunedoara County, Transylvania, Romania.

It is composed of four villages: Bătrâna, Fața Roșie, Piatra, and Răchițaua.

[2] Bătrâna is located in the western part of Hunedoara County, about 53 km (33 mi) southwest of the county seat, Deva, on the border with Timiș County.

The river Ciorman flows through the Răchițaua and Piatra villages, discharging into the river Dobra near Bătrâna.
