Márton Balázs (July 17, 1929 – April 13, 2016) was a Romanian mathematician of Hungarian descent.
After graduating from high school in Odorheiu Secuiesc, he got his undergraduate degree a in mathematics and physics from Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca.
His scientific work falls within the field of analysis and numerical analysis (solving equations in abstract spaces).
He was the editor-in-chief of Matematikai Lapok (Mathematical Gazette for high school students) for several years, and for a decade and a half he was the head of the Romanian-language scientific seminar on Mathematics Didactics.
