[4] At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of Bam and Safiabad District[a] in Esfarayen County) was 9,041 in 2,595 households.

[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 6,902 in 2,524 households.

The most populous of its 42 villages was Bam, with 1,368 people.
