Bankfoot

Bankfoot is a village in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, approximately 8 miles (13 km) north of Perth and 7 miles (11 km) south of Dunkeld.

[3] It was found that 33% of Bankfoot residents were aged 60 or older.

[4] The village has a primary school – Auchtergaven Primary School – which is named after the Church of Scotland parish of Auchtergaven, in which Bankfoot resides.

[6] The Bankfoot Church Centre opened in October 2008 to replace the nineteenth century church building which was destroyed by fire in February 2004.

A bus service, started in the 1930s, of Stanley-based Allan & Scott, used to run the 5 miles (8 kilometres) between Stanley and Bankfoot twice a day on Sundays.

Bankfoot Post Office was on the village's Main Street. It closed in 2008, with its services moved inside a nearby convenience store. [ 5 ] As of 2017, this building is now occupied by an architect's office
Bankfoot railway station in 1961.
