Baranja is a village development committee in Myagdi District in the Dhaulagiri Zone of western-central Nepal.
At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4576 people living in 891 individual households.

Resource person at the District Education Office Krishna Lal Sapkota said a total of 3,738 people between the ages of 15 and 60 years in the VDC are literate.
