Baron Trevethin and Oaksey

Baron Trevethin, of Blaengawney in the County of Monmouth, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom.

It was created in 1921 for the prominent judge Sir Alfred Lawrence, Lord Chief Justice of England from 1921 to 1922.

Geoffrey Lawrence, was also a noted jurist and served as the main British judge at the Nuremberg trials.

In 1959 he succeeded his elder brother Charles as third Baron Trevethin, although he continued to be known as Lord Oaksey.

He is a KC[2] who sits in the House of Lords as a Crossbench excepted hereditary peer following a by-election in 2015.
