Baron Sandford is a title that has been created twice, both times in the Peerage of the United Kingdom.
The second creation came in 1945 when the Conservative politician Sir James Edmondson was created Baron Sandford, of Banbury in the County of Oxford.
[3] Lord Sandford was son of James Edmondson who amassed a fortune building new communities in the London commuter belt.
Lord Sandford also served in minor positions in the Conservative government of Edward Heath.
As of 2012[update] the title is held by the latter's son, the third Baron, who succeeded in 2009.
