Barroso, Minas Gerais

Barroso is a Brazilian municipality located in the south of the state of Minas Gerais.

Its population as of 2020[update] was 20,897 people living in an area of 83 km2 (32 sq mi).

The city belongs to the mesoregion of Campo das Vertentes and to the microregion of Barbacena.

An important regional center, Barbacena, is located 27 km (17 mi) to the east and is connected by MG-265.
