Barton in Fabis is a village and civil parish in the Rushcliffe district of Nottinghamshire.

[2] The village is just south of Nottingham, being on the other side of the River Trent from Attenborough.

[3] The Fairham Brook forms part of the eastern parish boundary.

[4] A new location within the parish, Fairham is being developed adjacent to the Nottingham built up area.

This will eventually take up over 600 acres (240 ha; 0.94 sq mi) and provide residential, industrial and other amenities and facilities such as retail, school, community centre, health centre, sports pitches, community parks and woodland.
