Bas-Uélé

Bas-Uélé (French for "Lower Uélé") is one of the 21 provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo created in the 2015 repartitioning.

[2] Bas-Uélé was formed from the Bas-Uele District whose town of Buta was elevated to capital city of the new province.

There are other peoples such as the Boa, Bakere, Balele, Bakango, Babenza, etc., who are also present in this province.

[6] Since the authentic announcement of the epidemic by using the country’s Ministry of Health on 12 May, two person have been declared Ebola-positive, one died from the disease.
