Basnettville, West Virginia

Basnettville is an unincorporated community in Marion County, in the U.S. state of West Virginia.

[1] A post office called Basnettville was established in 1849, the name was changed to Basnett in 1880, and the post office closed in 1903.

[2] Basnettville most likely has the name of the local Basnett family, a member of which kept a store there.

Suffragist Lenna Lowe Yost was a native of Basnettville.
