Bassum

Bassum (German pronunciation: [ˈbasʊm] ⓘ; Northern Low Saxon: Bassen) is a town in the district of Diepholz, Lower Saxony, Germany.

The lower part shows the bear claws derived from the arms of the Counts of Hoya.

The mural crown, symbolises the 13th century Freudenburg castle and the city rights as well and two horses as supporters stand for the belonging to Lower Saxony.
