Bastam (Persian: بسطام)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Qarah Zia ol Din Rural District[4] of the Central District of Chaypareh County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 681 in 155 households, when it was in the former Chaypareh District of Khoy County.
[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 447 people in 131 households.
