Battle of Anandpur (1703)

The Battle of Anandpur was fought on 24 February between the Sikh forces led by Guru Gobind Singh and the forces of some Hill States.

In 1702, Guru Gobind Singh visited Kurukshetra, Jyotisar, Pahoe, Kare, Sayana, Chamkaur and some other villages before returning to Anandpur Sahib.

[citation needed] The First Battle of Chamkaur occurred and a Mughal force with Hill Raja assistance were defeated.

Ajmer Chand of Bilaspur attacked the Sikhs in Anandpur in 1703.

A fierce and hard fought battle occurred and as a result the Hill Rajas again fell back and dispersed.
