Battle of Paranda

In September 1699, Rajaram made plans by raiding the Mughal territory of Khandesh and Berar.

[1] On November 5, he left Satara, leading a large Maratha army into the targeted area.

He planned to join his forces with the Gond of Deogarh who were rebelling against the Mughals.

[4] At Paranda, Bidar Bakht met with the Marathas and inflicted a severe defeat on them.

Although the Marathas were defeated, one division was able to avoid the Mughals and plundered some areas in Dhamoni.
