Battle of Qafë Prush

On May 6, 1997, a group of KLA fighters, including Luan Haradinaj, Ramush Haradinaj, Fehmi Lladrovci, Xhevë Krasniqi-Lladrovci, Ilaz Kodra, and Ali Ahmeti, attempted to cross the border near Vlahne and proceed towards Kuzhin.

This movement was part of a broader KLA strategy to secure strategic routes and supply lines.

[3] Serbian military and police forces, aware of KLA activities in the region, set up an ambush along the group's planned route.

[6] The Battle of Qafë Prush underscored the risks faced by the Kosovo Liberation Army.

Although the battle resulted in a tactical setback, Luan Haradinaj’s death is commemorated as a symbol of sacrifice and national unity in Kosovo.
