Barron served within World War II as a sergeant in the 28th Infantry Division.
[1] Barron began his career in 1946, first appearing in the film The Secret of the Whistler.
[2] Later in his career, Barron guest-starred in numerous television programs including Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Death Valley Days, Perry Mason, Tales of the Texas Rangers, 26 Men, Highway Patrol, Sky King, Planet of the Apes, 77 Sunset Strip, Tales of Wells Fargo,[3] Land of the Giants and Bewitched.
Barron starred in the films From Hell It Came (as Chief Maranka),[6] War Is Hell,[7] (as Sergeant Garth),[2] The Strangler (as Sergeant Mack Clyde)[2] and Space Probe Taurus (as Dr. John Andros).
[2] In 1959, he starred in the television series Police Station, where he played as Sergeant White.
