Baywood is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Islip in Suffolk County, on Long Island, in New York, United States.

12.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

Baywood is served by the Long Island Railroad at the Deer Park station, as well as Suffolk County Transit bus routes along Pine Aire Drive and Bay Shore Road.

Baywood is located entirely within the boundaries of (and is thus served by) the Brentwood Union Free School District.
