Beate Walter-Rosenheimer

Beate Walter-Rosenheimer (born 20 November 1964) is a German politician of Alliance 90/The Greens who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Bavaria since 2012.

Born in Weißenburg, Bavaria, Walter-Rosenheimer grew up in Ingolstadt and Munich, where she graduated from high school in 1985.

She then studied communication sciences, philosophy, history and psychology at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Diplom-Psychologin).

From 2009 to 2011, she was a research assistant to Margarete Bause, the parliamentary party leader of the Greens in the State Parliament of Bavaria.

[7] In February 2024, Walter-Rosenheimer announced that she would not stand in the 2025 federal elections but instead resign from active politics by the end of the parliamentary term.
