Belgrave Hospital for Children

[1] A new hospital building was constructed between 1899 and 1926 at 1 Clapham Road from a design by Charles Holden.

[3] The hospital was founded in 1866 and was originally sited in Gloucester Street, Pimlico.

[4] The Kennington building was designed by Charles Holden, on a site plan by H. Percy Adams,[4] and was built in stages between 1899 and 1926.

[4] It joined the National Health Service in 1948 as part of the King's College Hospital Group.

[5] On 20 October 1904, the music hall star Dan Leno donated £625 to the hospital after his last show.
