Berit Stensønes

[3] She was a professor of mathematical sciences at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU),[4] and a professor emerita at the University of Michigan.

[5] Stensønes completed her Ph.D. in 1985 at Princeton University.

Her dissertation, Envelopes of Holomorphy, was supervised by John Erik Fornæss.

[6] With John Erik Fornæss, Stensønes was an author of the book Lectures on Counterexamples in Several Complex Variables (AMS Chelsea Publishing, American Mathematical Society, 1987; reprinted 2007).

[7] Stensønes was a member of the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters.
