Bernadette Flynn

Bernadette Mary Flynn (born 1 August 1979 in Nenagh, County Tipperary, Ireland) is an Irish dancer best known for her work in Lord of the Dance and Feet of Flames.

She has no regrets about leaving her school behind, saying, "This is what I've always wanted to do, it's a dream come true for any Irish dancer".

She would later reprise the role in Feet of Flames 2009 and the 2010 Return of Michael Flatley tour, which were also released on film.

Her husband Damien O'Kane is also a member of the Lord of the Dance troupe and has been so since the beginning in 1996.

Flynn prefers show dancing to competition, because she loves the freedom she has while performing.

Highlights of her career include dancing at the Academy Awards in Los Angeles and for the President of Ireland during a visit to Nenagh.

In January 2009, both Bernadette and Damien represented Ireland on the NBC hit reality TV show 'Superstars of Dance'.
