Bernard James Sheil (February 18, 1888 – September 13, 1969) was an Auxiliary Roman Catholic Bishop of Chicago.
He was named auxiliary Bishop of Chicago in 1928, a post he held for over forty years.
Sheil was "outspoken advocate of social justice in the underprivileged and marginalized sectors of the community."
