Bernardo da Costa Sassetti Pais (24 June 1970[1] – 10 May 2012[2][3][4]) was a Portuguese jazz pianist and film composer.
[5] By the late 1980s, he was backing visiting musicians and teaching jazz piano in Lisbon (and, later, taught throughout other lusophonic areas).

Shortly before his death Sassetti was complaining of a spinal disc herniation and of tendinitis that was affecting his piano performance.
